Radar Level

Radar level sensors are non-contact instruments used to measure the level of liquids, solids, or slurries within tanks, silos, and process vessels. Using high-frequency microwave radar signals, these sensors determine the distance between the sensor and the surface of the material. The measurement is calculated based on the time it takes for the signal to reflect back, providing continuous, accurate level readings regardless of temperature, pressure, or vapor interference.

These sensors are especially valuable in process control because they offer precise, real-time monitoring without the need for physical contact with the process material. This reduces maintenance, enhances reliability, and improves safety, particularly in challenging environments such as corrosive chemicals, extreme temperatures, or sanitary applications where traditional contact sensors may fail or require frequent cleaning.

Radar level sensors are used across many industries, including chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals. In these applications, they support operations like inventory management, process optimization, leak prevention, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

With their durability, ease of installation, and ability to handle diverse media and tank geometries, radar level sensors have become a preferred solution for modern level measurement needs. Their immunity to process conditions and minimal calibration requirements make them ideal for both continuous process control and high-demand industrial applications.
