Gas Cylinder Changeover Regulators
A gas cylinder changeover regulator ensures a continuous gas supply to a system by automatically switching between two gas cylinders or sources when one becomes depleted. It is commonly used in industrial, laboratory, and medical applications where an uninterrupted gas flow is critical.
Two gas cylinders, typically a primary and a secondary, connect to the regulator. Once the primary cylinder exhausts or reaches a preset low-pressure threshold, the regulator switches to the secondary cylinder. The changeover mechanism is designed to provide a seamless transition from one cylinder to the other without interrupting the gas flow, minimizing the risk of process disruption or downtime.
The changeover regulator has a pressure regulator that keeps a steady pressure for the equipment, no matter how the pressure from the gas cylinders changes, and it includes pressure gauges for both cylinders, making it easy to check gas levels and know when to replace a cylinder.
Some models come with built-in alarms or indicators that notify the operator when the changeover occurs or when a cylinder is empty, providing additional safety and efficiency. Changeover regulators for gas cylinders are made from materials compatible with the type of gas being used (e.g., stainless steel for corrosive gases), ensuring safety, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
