Flanged Flush Rings
Flanged flush rings are designed to be installed between a diaphragm seal and a process flange in industrial piping systems. Unlike standard flush rings, these feature integral flanges that match industry-standard bolt patterns, allowing for secure, leak-resistant installation. Constructed from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel or alloy steel, flanged flush rings provide access ports for flushing, venting, or sampling process media at the seal interface.
Their primary function is to maintain a clean and stable interface between the diaphragm seal and the process fluid. In applications involving viscous, corrosive, or slurry-based media, buildup on the diaphragm surface can lead to inaccurate pressure or level measurements. Flanged flush rings allow operators to introduce a flushing fluid or gas through the built-in ports, cleaning the diaphragm seal without needing to remove the instrument or interrupt the process.
In addition to improving measurement reliability, flanged flush rings enhance safety and system maintainability. They facilitate pressure equalization, contamination removal, and process sampling during calibration or maintenance operations. The flanged design simplifies alignment, improves sealing performance, and reduces installation time compared to non-flanged alternatives.
Flanged flush rings are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, power generation, and food and beverage. They are commonly installed with pressure transmitters, level sensors, or diaphragm seals in challenging process environments. Their robust construction and standardized connection make them a dependable solution for maintaining process integrity and instrumentation accuracy.
