Float Level

Float continuous level sensors are reliable devices used to measure the level of liquids in tanks and vessels by tracking the vertical position of a float. The float rises and falls with the liquid surface, and its movement is translated into a continuous output signal—typically via reed chain, magnetostrictive, or potentiometric technologies—providing precise and real-time level data.

These sensors are valued in process control environments for their simplicity, accuracy, and mechanical reliability. Since they rely on buoyancy and magnetism rather than electronic waveforms or complex calculations, they are highly stable in applications where foam, vapor, or turbulence may interfere with other sensor types. Their mechanical design minimizes drift and requires little maintenance over long operational periods.

Float continuous level sensors are widely used in industries such as chemical processing, water treatment, food and beverage, oil and gas, and marine systems. They are ideal for monitoring clean or slightly contaminated liquids, fuels, and lubricants. Their robust construction allows them to function in pressurized or hazardous environments, often with approvals for use in classified zones.

Because of their straightforward operation and adaptability, float continuous level sensors remain a popular choice where durability, cost-effectiveness, and consistent performance are key. They support inventory control, leak detection, and process optimization across a wide range of industrial applications.
